| The Trinidad & Tobago Beverage Alcohol Alliance’s mission is to reduce alcohol-related harm through combating the misuse and abuse of beverage alcohol products and promoting only their responsible use.

| The Trinidad & Tobago Beverage Alcohol Alliance (TTBAA) is a non-profit association of beverage alcohol producers, distributors and marketers whose core objective is to promote the responsible distribution,sale and consumption of beverage alcohol products.
The TTBAA represents the suppliers of beverage alcohol products in Trinidad andTobago, and includes the largest brewery, distillery and distribution houses in the country.

| The TTBAA was established in response to the multilateral challenge led by the World HealthOrganization (WHO), aimed at establishing a global framework for alcohol.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has been and continues to be the lead international body mostactive on issues pertaining to alcohol and alcohol-related harm.
Within the context of the WHO’s Global Strategy exercise, it has publicly formalized its policy on alcohol consumption and its related ill effects on health, economy and society in two signature documents:
i) Public Health Problems Caused by the Harmful Use of Alcohol
ii) Framework for Alcohol Policy
The existence of these documents signaled the intention of the WHO to implement an international strategy to combat and prevent the rising trend of alcohol consumption and alcohol related harm globally.

| Purpose of the TTBAA

Unite the T&T Alcohol Industry in order to manage regulatory and public opinion challenges;

Demonstrate that the industry can effectively self-regulate;

Commit to Codes of Practice to address public concerns or to remove offensive advertisements/products in a timely way;

Partner with governments, civil society, public health community and consumers to promote responsible drinking patterns;

Present the Trinidad Alcoholic Beverage Industry as being socially committed and responsible.
